Biography
I was raised in the lower valley, graduating high school from Grandview, attending college in Ellensburg and law school at Gonzaga.
Tyler has been practicing law in Yakima, Benton and Franklin counties since he was admitted to the bar in 2000. For the first 20 years of his practice he regularly maintained contracts with various cities and county agencies to provide criminal defense for indigent individuals, which has allowed for an exceptional amount of trial experience. As a litigator Tyler has handled hundreds of jury trials, representing all manner of individuals in the area when charged with any number of crimes and he’s been more successful than not in hundreds of those cases.
Along with decades of criminal defense experience I’ve also been handling domestic cases of all kinds, litigating parenting plans, child support order, property issues, and all manner of parental rights cases. Literally since the very day I was licensed to practice law I’ve been trying cases, advocating for my client’s positions in hundreds and hundreds of cases over the last quarter century.
In addition to litigation from a lawyers perspective I’ve been a judge pro tem for 16 years in Benton County, local municipalities and Yakima County District court. The experience as a judge in the judicial system helps to make sure I can give every client a real understanding of what the court would look at when hearing their case.
